雨の東京から名古屋に到着や晴天の空、気温25度暑い
今日の目的、仲間のボスの招待で、うなぎ料理「高麗軒」へ、
夕方まで時間もあり、まずは名古屋城へ見学…
お城の周りをひと回り見て、売店で買っておいた
ビールを友人らとベンチで、グイ~と飲みながら長々の雑談
あら!!
そろそろ太陽が沈む時間だ、慌ててお城の正門前へ差し掛かった所
一部お城の周りが銀色のコントラスト.一瞬立ち止り
なんとも美しく、あちらこちらとカメラのシャッターが響く
急ぎお城を背中に、昨年オープンした
「金シャチ横丁」をサラッと見ながら地下鉄で、熱田神宮へ
…到着した時にはすでに暗く良く周りが見えない。
急ぎ樹齢1000年の大楠を見た瞬間、
あ~~あ良く歩いた疲れた…と、思いつつ、今から本番の
ひつまぶしを食べに……又歩く

お店に到着するや沢山の人、外で待っている人々をかき分け
個室に通され、招待のボスと3名の仲間
食事はコース、特別な食材も出てくるらしい…?
其の間、シャンパンにワイン、会話とつまみ、2時間が経過
最後にひつまぶし、薬味をかけての味、お腹いっぱい
余にも量が多く、持ち帰る事に
その後軽くジンを飲みに、一時間 !そろそろ寝ます……と、おご馳走になった
ボスと別れホテルに到着、
胃が重い、胃薬を飲み、ベットに入るが寝られない
どんどん胃が重く、朝方3時過ぎても眠れない、あ~~あ限界、
とっさにトイレに走り、今日飲んで食べたものが、口からどんどん出て行く~~
其の間 3回も、最悪~~
所が朝目が覚めた、なんと信じられない程、胃がスツキリ
ロビーで仲間達に、夜中の起きた事件を話すと

、"ア~ア招待したボス、一人2.3万円もご馳走した食べ物が全部流れた事…言えないね"
(笑)

It was raining in Tokyo that day, but when I arrived in Nagoya, there
was sunny at 25 degrees Celsius.
The purpose of trip is to get to the eel restaurant “Koraiken” with a
friendly boss. The restaurant is his reccomend.

We went sightseeing until dinner time.
First, I went to Nagoya Castle!
We drank a beer on the bench at around the castle.
When we noticed that we were chatting for a long time while drinking
beer, it was time for the sunset.
When we rushed to the main gate of the castle, the contrast between
the castle and the sunset was very beautiful.
I heard the camera shutter sound was echoing.

After leaving Nagoya Castle, I took a walk around “Kin shachi Yokocho”
that opened last year.
After that, we went to Atsuta Jingu by subway.
There was famous shrine but when I arrived it was already dark and I
couldn't see well.
We hurried to see a 1,000-year-old tree in the precincts.
I was a little tired because we walked well , but dinner was the
purpose of this trip.
We walked again to eat "Hitsumabushi".

When we arrived at the restaurant, many people were lining up!
Thanks to the boss, we were taken to a private room and had an eel course meal.
We all enjoyed champagne and wine, special ingredients and courses.
After about 2 hours, hitsumabushi is came finally.
The condiment is full and delicious, but I was already full of course
food and alcohol. I decided to take it away.

After that, lightly drink gin at the bar. . . An hour has passed.
The boss had a lot of treats and we returned to the hotel.
After check in, I felt heavy stmachache.
I took a pill, tried into bed but I couldn't sleep.
I vomited after 3 o'clock in the morning.
Delicious food came out from the my mouth!
I went to the bathroom three times ... It ’s the worst.

But when I woke up my stomach was so refreshing that I couldn't believe it.
If you tell a friend that I vomited in the late night
“The invited boss spent 20,000 -30,000 yen per person! you can’t tell him.”
I agreed (lol)

2019年11月11日

オープンして33年
初の1年無事クリア、3年5年続ける中で、日曜日以外ひたすら、夜中の1時か2時まで
顧客作りに専念
若いせいか、体力には自身があり、夜中の2時過ぎ自宅に帰り、翌朝8時には起きて
市場や新聞など、情報キャチする毎日…
当時、数少ない海外の人々が横丁に来店されるが、えのき以外無かった。
お店には学生始め、学生の御家族、ジャナリストの人々が、口コミで増え始めた。
はるばる遠い国から来店され、せめてのおもてなしとして、
何日間の滞在?と聞くと、朝7時築地の本願寺の前で待ち合わせ!
築地でのお寿司を食べに、何年続いた事か…?
と………過去を思いつつ
先月28年振り、スコットランドから、2週間の旅で
御家族が来店「チズル……さん」僕を覚えていますか?
日本に滞在中、結婚祝や、食事に行った事の話しが話題に……余にも長い月日、
思い出せない?
嬉しかったのは、そんな話しを2人のお子さんが聴いていた事に感激
今後も多くの家族の方々がご来店される事に楽しみ!!

It’s 33 years have passed since I opened Enoki.
The first year of opening I thought I was able to clear the game.
After that, I worked hard except Sunday.
I was dedicated to making customers every day until 1am or 2am. Since I was young at that time, besides I had confidence in my physical strength.
I went back home at 2 o'clock late night and got up at 8 o'clock the next morning, went to the market, read newspapers, and gathered information every day.

At that time, there were few foreign customers coming to Nonbei Yokocho and there were no other shops corresponded to them except my Enoki.
some international students, student families, and journalists came to the Enoki that time.
They had introduced other foreign customers, Enoki increased customer gradually.

They came from far away countries and I asked how many days they would stay for hospitality.
Sometimes we met in front of Tsukiji Honganji at 7 o'clock in the morning and ate sushi at the fish market.
How many years have we been with that person?
And ... I remembered the past.

Last month, he and his family came from Scotland after 28 years from first time!
He asked me, “Chizuru-san, do you remember me?”

While they were in Japan, I thought nostalgic for talking about wedding celebrations and going to dinner with them.
Actually we couldn’t remember the details after a long time.
However, I was very happy that I was impressed that they told about me to their two children.
Many family members will be visiting the Enoki in the future.
It sounds so fun!!

2019年10月04日

沖縄先島諸島には台風18号、その影響か、日中温度30度の無風状態の神戸で
ワールドカップ、Aーグループ、スコットランド対サモア戦を観賞
場内3万人の大観戦、目立ったのはスコットランドの民族衣装スコッティシュ.キルト
を着た男性が多く見かけた事
その前後、地下鉄の電車は人人でゴッテ返し、地上に上がる前には、バッグパイプの楽器演奏が
響き渡る。
どちらの応援.....(^O^) ?....もちろんサモア、中々トライの出来ないイラダチ、暑さもあってか
選手の怪我が多く見かけた....が、場内の熱狂は、喉を潤すビールと共に賑わう。
1点も入らずのサモワ、無念、今週日本との戦い
湿度の高い日本での戦い、番狂わせがあるかも??

I watched the Rugby World Cup, the A-Group game, and Scotland vs. Samoa at Kobe.
Typhoon No. 18 was coming to Okinawa that day.
It was influenced that Kobe was hot and no wind at 30 degrees during the day.

A large-scale game of 30,000 people in the hall, most impressive was the appearance of many men wearing Scottish national costumes Scottish quilts.
Before and after that, the subway train was filled with people.
Before going up to the ground, I could heard sound of Scottish Bagpipe musical instruments.

Which do you think I support?
I was cheering for Samoa!

There were a lot of injuries of players could not be tried and the heat and the humid. . .
The beer hydrated the throat for us.
Unfortunately, Samoa lost without getting one point.
Samoa will be playing against Japan this weekend.
What about the battle in humid Japan?

「日本で受けた心暖まるおもてなしをずーと大切にし、日米がこれからも
深き絆を持ち今後さらに両国が発展することを、強く確信します。」

赴任2年目、ビル.ハガティ駐日米国大使が、日本を離れる前のメッセージ!!

20年前、何らかのご縁で、米国大使館の方々も多く来店されている"えのき"
昨年、ナンバー2 の、J.Ｙ氏が、いつもの笑顔で、来店された折
新しく赴任された大使を、日本の文化でもあり庶民が、行き交う小さなお店でのリラックス出来る、穴場の動画撮影を作る計画をしている。
その場所は、自分達の頭の中では決まっていて
その穴場のお店.... 是非とも「えのき」をお願いしたく! ! との話しが飛び込んで来た.
" とんでもない"と、何度かお断りの言葉をかけたが、
J氏の熱い言葉にわかりましたと受け、
昨年の10月、大使、スタッフ、含め5名の皆さんとで、いつもの言葉のやりとりや、オリジナルの食べ物を召し上がって頂くなど、リラックスされた様子の動画作りが完成、今年の2月、恥ずかしながら、鑑賞。
その後日の3月、大使と奥様、そして生まれ育った、テネシー州の、お偉い人達がゾロゾロと足を運ばれ大使自身が、横丁とえのきを観て頂きたいとの思いで、連れて来こられた。
数人しか入れない店内と2階も営業している事を説明し、感心を持って帰られた。

その後4ケ月も経っていない、7月の土曜日、のれんの脇から顔を出し覗いている人がいて急ぎ表に出て見ると、大使とご家族全員が突然の訪問へ
お話を聞いてみると、来週月曜日、日本を離れる為、家族でお別れを云いたくご来店された。
４人のお子様には、お店の中に入って頂き、「こんな場所ですよ、日本に来る機会がありましたら、是非とも訪ねて来て下さいね」と伝え、御家族全員と記念撮影をして深々とお別れの挨拶を
　来年上院選に南部テネシー州から出馬される

　素晴らしい心温まる人間愛のハガティ氏、勝利の祈念を! !

“We will continue to cherish the warm hospitality we have received in Japan, and we are convinced that Japan and the United States will continue to have deep bonds, and that both countries will develop further in the future.”
This is the message by former US Ambassador to Japan Hagerty before he left from Japan.

My “Enoki” has been visited by many staff of American embassies for 20 years.
At the beginning of last year, Mr. J. Y, number 2 of the US Embassy, came to Enoki with a smile as usual.
Apparently, the newly appointed ambassador was planning to make a video shoot in a small and relaxing place where Japanese people come and go.
Mr. J. Y said "The hidden bar ... I want to shoot at Enoki!!"
I was afraid and refused several times, but Mr. J.Y asked me passionately, I finally accepted his suggestion.

In October of last year, Ambassador Hagerty and five other staff, shoot a relaxed video with the usual conversations and the original Enoki's food.
I watched it with them in February this year.
I was a little embarrassed.

Later in March, Ambassador Hagerty, his wife, and the great people from Tennessee, where they were born and raised, came to Enoki!
It seems that Ambassador Hagerty himself was brought in because he wanted to see atomosphere of Nonbei Yokocho and Enoki.
I explained that the shop has the second floor, where only a few people can enter.
They were impressed about it.

In July, when less than 4 months have passed, there was a person peeking out from the side of the goodwill.
The ambassador and the whole family came to Enoki suddenly.
He came with his family to say goodbye to me because US Embassy decided back to US in July.
His four children enter the shop and l told them “If you have the opportunity to come to Japan, please come and visit here”
I took a commemorative photo with the whole family and greeted them farewell.

Returning to the United States, Mr. Hagaty will run for the Senate next year from Southern Tennessee.
Mr. Hagaty has a wonderful heartwarming personality and love.
I wish his victory!

仕事の関係上、深夜タクシーを乗って帰る日々
出来れば、毎日の事だから、タクシー会社との契約をしていれば
楽であるが、そうはいかない!
バブル時代、疲れた身体を10分でも早くタクシーに乗り、自宅に帰りたいと246号線に
足を運ぶが、空席のタクシーが無い!
いたとしても運転手は、売り上げにつながる男性の側に車を停める…所が
女性客が、手を上げても振り向きもしない運転手が多くいた。
最近はそのような事がなくなったが、悲しい事、本物のプロが少なく、お客からの
行き先を、何度も伝えれなければ、到着しない。
伝えても、間違った方向へ…
では、なぜナビゲーターが接してあるのか疑問
気を使っての車の中なのか、10分位でも又あの運転手さんの車に乗りたいか…問う…が
逆もある、謙虚さが無く、傲慢で運転手さんを困らせ、怒鳴るお客もいると伺う。
小さな部屋の中、お互いに気配りをしながら、無事行き先に到着できますように!!

Due to my work as Izakaya bar, I always take a late-night taxi to back my home.
I think it would be easier if we had a contract with a taxi company, but it is not easy.

At that time, I wanted to take a taxi as faster as possible after work.
I went to Route 246 but I couldn't find any taxis available.
Even if there was an empty car, the driver had given priority to men who could lead to sales.
There were many drivers that women customers ignored even if they raised their hands.

The times have changed and such things have disappeared recently.
However, sad thing is that there are few real professional drivers, and there are more taxi drivers who do not arrive if they can not tell the destination from the customer many times.
Even if you tell the destination, there are many people who go in the wrong direction!
I wondered what the navigator is installed in the car for.
Sometimes, I wish I could take a taxi such as during bubble economic era.
I hear that some customers who are not humble to the customer and there is a customer who is annoyed and annoys the driver.
Be attentive to each other in a small car.

12時間長旅の機内、2席の通路側いち早く乗り隣の席のお客様を待つ!
日本の飛行機とあって、大半が日本人、海外に行く雰囲気を感じない。
5.6分後、身軽な格好で、若い男性が、「お邪魔します」と、席を座りやっと落ち着く。
さ~~あ出発、と同時に、隣の男性に「長旅ですが、宜しくお願いします」とご挨拶
30分後、たちまち隣の彼との会話が弾み当然ながら、これから行き先の旅はと聞き出す。
僕は今日、名古屋から飛行機で乗り継ぎ、羽田空港へ、年間通して半年は海外への仕事を
しています。

内容は.....各国の都市に着くや、何百キロも離れた100万都市に移動し
元プロの先輩が車体に乗り、メインとなる機材を先端な角度や高さ、場所へなど
きめ細かに説明し販促にかけている仕事
一緒に行動している大先輩はパリ.ダカールラリーで2年連続優勝を果たしたプロのラリー
ドライブの増岡氏、興味ある人は誰でもも知っていると言われた。
が、顔を伺わなければわからない!
そんな話も終わり、映画を3本位観て、仮眠をし予定通り、ヒースロー空港に到着
.彼云く......僕たちは、又乗り換えをして、夜遅くポーランドに行くとの事!
機内を降り、入国審査に行く長い道に、テレビの画面に見たことがある
先輩とも会え、和かな機内での話しをしながら、次の飛行機の乗り換えの通路で
お二人と別れ....楽しい機内での出逢いだった。

I was on the aisle side of the two seats on the 12 hour long flight from Japan to England.
I got on board quickly that time and waited for the person who seated next window.
There was a Japanese plane, most of the passengers were Japanese. I did not feel like going abroad.

Five or six minutes later, a young man wear casual clothes sat down in my seat next to me.
An announcement started when we depart.
At that time, I greeted the man next to me, "It is a long trip, let me know if you concerned about something, thank you."

Then I had a conversation with him.
He said, "Today, I came from Nagoya to Haneda Airport. I'm doing car-related work in abroad. I spends half of a year overseas."
He usually arrives in each country, he moves to a city far away.
It is a job where a former professional driver gets on the car body and he explains and promotes the main equipment in detail.
He said that the large senior who is acting together is Mr. Masuoka, a professional rally driver who has won the Dakar Rally for two consecutive years in Paris!
It was said that anyone who was interested knew, but I couldn't understand it without looking at the face!

After talking, I watched movies, I took a nap, and we arrived at Heathrow Airport as expected.
They transfer the plane at Heathrow airport to go Poland late night.

When I got out of the cabin, I met Mr. Masuoka, a driver who I had seen on TV! We talked in a peaceful story in the cabin.
We separated in the passage of transfer of the next plane .
It was fun time in the plane.

2019年05月17日

仲良しの友人がいる大阪へ飛ぶ、飛行機も満席、伊丹空港に到着するやお腹が空いている。
ターミナルの屋上で穴場のレストランでチョイ…..ピザとワインを美味しく頂き、飲む
夜は50年間商売をされている、お肉専門のお店に｜。関西弁ではホンマに美味いワ〜
お腹も一杯、時間もまだ早い、そうだ京都へ行こう〜〜
電車と思いや、そこのお店のお客様が偶然、車で京都に帰るとの事、図々しく便乗させてもらう！
祇園の花見小路へ行き、知り合いのお店に足を運ぶ、お店が終わって現れた店主！
12年のお付き合い。みんなで賑やかに、飲んでお喋りしてタクシーで豊中へ帰る。

翌日、大阪水上バスに乗り、大阪中之島や大阪城を船上から堪能、
お天気も最高、中央公会堂や大阪城見ながら、50分位を周遊、
その後、船を降りてそのまま大阪城天守閣へ足を運ぶ
大阪城内では
テーマ展　『戦国の世の祈り』日本が戦国乱世から天下統一へ、政治.文化.宗教と向かう時代が揺らぎ、
新しい秩序が作られて行く様子の展示が、２.３.４階と展示してあり興味深く拝見！

この日は歩いただけでも17.871歩、新緑の月、空気がとても美味しく感じた。
夕方、暇なおじちゃん（六甲に滞在）を呼び出して、美人女子と共に大阪の街を堪能しこの日で
休日も終わった
あ〜〜ァ、楽しいお休み日でした。

During the holidays, I went to Osaka to meet good friends by airplane.
The plane was full due to the consecutive holidays!

As soon as I arrived at Itami Airport in Osaka, I noticed I was hungry.
We had delicious pizza and wine at a restaurant on the roof top of the airport terminal.

Early dinner was a meat specialty cuisine that has been around for 50 years.
It's really delicious!
Speaking in Kansai dialect "Honma ni umaiwa ~"

Stomach is so full but time was still early.
Yes, let's go to Kyoto! I thought.
I was thinking of going to the train, but the customer of the meat restaurant there says I will go home in Kyoto by car.
What a coinsidently! He took me to kyoto by his car luckily.

I went to Hanamikoji street located Gion in Kyoto and visited a bar I knew.
I know the master for 12 years.
We drank and chatted and returned to a hotel in Toyonaka in Osaka by taxi.

The next day, I took the Osaka water bus and enjoyed Osaka Nakanoshima and Osaka Castle from the boat around 50 minutes.
The weather was also great.

After that, I got off the ship and went to the Osaka Castle Tower.
In Osaka Castle, there was an exhibition called "Prayers of the Warring States".
There was an exhibition on the 2nd to 4th floor where a new order was created from Japan.
We could feel relision, politic and culture of the warring states that time.
It was really interesting.
My mobile was recorded that I walked 17871 steps on this day.
The air was very delicious this season, when the fresh green is beautiful.

In the evening, I called my friend uncle who living Rokko had a good time and walked the streets of Osaka with the beautiful girl.
The holiday was over on that day.
It was a good memories.

2019年04月12日

東京でお気に入りの飲み屋「えのき」は、渋谷駅の脇に古い家屋がひしめく「のんべい横丁」にあります。座席は10で、2階にもう6席。入店には紹介を必要とします。
　
ママさんは、私が全く日本語を話せなかった頃でさえ、私のことを温かく迎え入れてくれました。そして、まるでテニスの試合のような会話の早いやりとりを眺めたものです。彼女は料理が上手で、お酒をつぐ手際も良く、あけっぴろげな人です。一方で、厳しくもあります。特に、高慢な態度の会社役員などに対して。当の彼らはママさんの、時に辛つな冷やかしを楽しんでいるようですが。
　
　あるとき、年配の男性が若い女性の部下を連れて店に来たことがありました。（部下の）彼女は、明らかにこのような場でのしかるべき振る舞いを分かっていませんでした。とうとうママさんは、「お嬢ちゃん、知っておくべきルールがあるのを分かってちょうだいね・・・」と言い、マナーについて優しく説明しました。若いその女子はひどく感激していました。今まで誰一人として、わざわざそのように話をしてくれた人はいなかったと言っていました。

もし10人のスコットランド人をこの広さのバーに押し込めたら、体のわきに肘が当たっただの、ビールが耳に入っただのと、誰かかが文句を言い出すのに時間はかからないでしょう。小競り合いがそれに続き、最終的にはどれも、我々スコットランド人が言うところのいわゆる「グラスゴー・キス」ーー響き渡る頭突きの音ーーで終わるのがオチです。

私は、渋谷にとどまろうと思っています。だってママさんが、そういったばかげたことは必ず未然に防いでくれるでしょうから。（訳　田端節子）

My favorite bar in Tokyo, Enoki, is in a row of old houses, squashed down the side of Shibuya Station, called "Drunkard's Alley." It seats 10, with another six upstairs, and one needs an introduction to be able to come in.

The mama-san welcomed me warmly even when I couldn't speak any Japanese, and I would watch the rapid to-and-fro of conversation like a tennis match. She is an excellent cook, a skillful server of drinks and very open-hearted. But she can also be strict, especially to company CEOs with a higt opinion of themselves. They seem to enjoy her sometimes sharp teasing.

Once, an older man with his young female colleague came to the bar, and she clearly didn't know how to behave politely in such a place. Finally, mama-san said, "Younger sister, Please understand that there are ways to follow..." and kindly explained some manners to her . The girl was deeply touched. She said no one had ever taken the trouble to talk to her like that in her life.

If you squashed 10 Scots into a bar that size, it wouldn't be long before someone complained of having an elbow in their side, or a beer in their ear. And then there would be a pushing and a shoving, and it might all end in what we Scots call a "Glasgow kiss" --the resounding crack of a head-butt.

I think I'll stay Shibuya, where mama-san would be sure to prevent any such nonsense. （ジョーン・アンダーソン）

お腹もいっぱい、今日は時間も早いし、歌ってお腹を楽に、🎤カラオケに足を
運ぶ。
受付に行くと、15分待ち、近くにはプライスゲームの機械が2台あって、子供達がその周辺で
カラオケの順番を待っていた。声をかけた、ねえ~~あの機械の中央…(景品を獲得することの目的、アーケードゲーム)…そろそろ商品が落ちる見たい!!
一回投入100円、プレゼントするので、一番元気の良い子に100円渡した。
早速チャレンジ、所が上手く落ない、結局300円出して、ドカドカと品物が出て来た
6人の子供達と大爆笑、品物はみんなで分け合う
その後、カラオケの順番が子供達へ、部屋の番号聞いて、同じ列と分かった所、覗いて見たら
ぎゃ~と恥ずかしそうに、歌っていたが「何んの歌か?さっぱり分からない」??
その後スタッフの方に、子供達へ…大盛りポテトチップスの差し入れを、
お願いしますと伝える。
2.3分もかっからない内、6人の子供達が、走り寄って「ありがとうございます」と、
丁寧にお辞儀をしてきた。
1時間のカラオケを終えた子供達、又部屋にきて、改めてお礼の挨拶をして帰った。
小学校6年生としては礼儀正しい子供達、素晴らしい出会いだった。

One day, I ate lunch with my friends and the time was early so we decided to went to a karaoke box.
When I went to the karaoke reception, we needed to wait for 15 minutes.
While waiting there were two prize game machines nearby, and the kids were waiting for karaoke room around them.
I said to them, "I want to see the prize in the middle of that game falls down, I will give you 100 yen for one game fee so please try it for me!"
I handed 100 yen to the most energetic child.

They challenged quickly, but it does not fall well.
Eventually handed over 300 yen, they got a splendid prize.
The goods came out noisily, six children and I burst out laughing.
Then the prize goods were shared by everyone.

After that, the order of karaoke came to us and the children.
As I heard the numbers of their rooms, there were in the same row as ours, so when I peeked in the room, they look shy but laughing while singing.
I do not know at all what song they sung, but the children's songs seemed fun.

After that, we ordered the placing of potato chips to the children 's room for the staff.
Then, it took less than a few minutes, six children came to me, they bowed politely and said "Thank you" .
After that, the kids who finished karaoke for 1 hour also came to my karaoke room and gave a thank you again.
They are very gracious though they were 6th grade elementary school student.
It was a wonderful encounter.

旅の途中、急きょ化粧品（フｱンデ〜ションが品不足、ア〜ｱ〜買わなければ….
急きょ駅前百貨店の1階へ足を運ぶ
＜化粧品と言っても、何処のブランドで無く、一応！決めてはいる＞

時間が無い為、ブランドの看板を見ながら、急いで、その場所に着いた。
スタッフ２名、２席には先客あり、回りには何人かのお客様が番号のカードを持ち早くして〜とイライラしている人、
じ〜と待っている人がいた。

すいません先客のお客様が優先ですので、すこうしお待ち下さい。
と、ただ、ニコニコ顔
それって何十分、何時間待たせるの…あ〜ぁそうですか、下手な商売だな〜駄目だ..
急ぎ、近くの化粧品を買う事にした。

疑問多く…...駅前の百貨店だからこそ、ブランド品の単品用を円角に陳列して
急いでいるお客様や、説明をしなくっても、毎日使っている品物が、即買える
場所があっても良いのではと思う！
一番お金を持っている年齢層のコーナーが無くも等しい、
見るのは若い人達をターゲットしているコーナーの多いこと

I noticed that there was no foundation of cosmetics I always used while in my travels.
Hurriedly I went to the cosmetic counter on the first floor of a department store in front of the station.
There are many kinds even if you say it in a word "cosmetic".
I have decided which brand to use, so I looked for a brand sign.
Because I have no time in the trip, I arrived at the corner of the brand, there were two staff.
However, there were already other customers sitting in the two-seat chair.

To the customers of the young women who sit in 2 seats, the staff is explaining the product in detail.
Some other customers got cards for waiting, there were people who were irritated or just waiting.

I understood that I am pushy but I already decided what to buy, so I asked "I'd like to buy this foundation in a hurry."
However, young staff responded with a smiling face as per the manual.
"Sorry, the customer of the previous customer has priority, so please wait a bit while."

What is it, how long will it keep waiting? . .
I thought that it was "bad business".
I was in a hurry, so I decided to buy a different cosmetic product nearby.

Because it is a department store in front of the station, I think that customers who are in a hurry displaying merchandise of brand goods or that there is a place where items used every day can be bought without having to explain!
I am sorry that there is no corner of the middle age class who has the most money.
Many corners are targeting young people as far as I see.

お正月休みで一時帰国の人、初仕事の人々、長期休暇の人、様々な人達が
えのきへ足を運ぶ
5:00 !!そろそろ開店、のれんを出すや、数分後いつのまにか席が満席
賑やかに31年1/4日オープン
数分後、思い気や、初来店のお客様の挨拶のマナーが良くなく
女将さんから叱咤激励される紳士や熟女の皆様……
その後、女将もほろ酔いお酒が入るや、末長く来店されている先輩達の
失敗談の経緯を、面白半分伝えると、
実物も知らない、初来店のお客様方 (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) ど~~ォ~~と大笑い
余りにも面白く、1杯のお酒が2杯、3杯とスイ~スイ喉元へ、酒の量が増えて行く
笑いすぎて、お腹も空き、目の前にデスプレイーしてある品物が次から次へと注文へ
特にえのき定番の「ポテトサラダ」5.6人分ぐらいしか作らないが、大変好評で
おかわりの人も少なからず!!

まあ~~そんな感じの、今年のスタート、特にお帰りの際、気持ち良く帰られる
後ろ姿が、一番ほっとする場面
新年早々素晴らしい晴天日、今年もえのきを何卒宜しくお願い致します。

On New Year 's first day of business where various people return to Enoki on January 4, 31th Heisei (Heisei is imperial era name 31th Heisei = 2019).
When we opened at 5 p.m., the seats were full before a few minutes in a while. Some customer came after the job of the first business day, some customer was temporary back to Japan, and regular customers came.
It became a bustling first day!

However, some new customers ware warned by me that the way of greeting as first visitors...
The greeting with good manners is important.
Afterwards, I also drank alcohol and became tipsy a bit, so encouraging new customers by telling them failed stories of regular customer who have been visiting for a long time.
Customers who do not even know the real person also laughed a lot about that story.
One glass of alcohol we ordered soon disappeared their ordered. They ordered a few glasses more soon.
They laughed too much and their stomachs were empty, so they ordered the foods put in front of them.
Especially Enoki's classic menu "Potato Salad" is made only about 5 or 6 people everyday, it was very popular that day.

Such was the first day of the start of this year 2019.
My most relieved scene is your smile when you left Enoki. It is evidence of you felt confortable and enjoyed!
It was a wonderful sunny day as soon as the New Year.

渋谷のんべい横丁、小さな横丁が今やブランドに！

始めて見た横丁の印象
へ〜え線路側、しかも駅の近く？ウ〜〜ん赤提灯、私には全く興味が無し！
そこえいきなり、『お店をやって見ないかい』….と、声がかかった。
興味はないが、どのようなお店か、見るだけでも..と、横丁に足を運んだ
渋谷駅から徒歩３.４分、裏通りに行って見ると約40店舗の長屋のお店にビックリ
入って見るとL型のカウンターに７席〜８席の椅子
カウンターの中のお店の方とお客様の距離がとても近い、
どのような料理を作っているのか良く見える。
ひととおり話しを聞き帰宅、（当時、私は服飾の仕事をしていて、業績もそこそこ挙げ、業者から
結構声がかかるが、そろそろ自分にとってこの仕事は終わりと思い断る）
それから、３ケ月間考えた結果、
やった事の無い仕事にチャレンジする決意へ
現在のえのき（1985年12月〜）に転職！
その際お店をやる……...３の指針を決める　
１,これからの時代多くの女性が仕事に進出する時代へ、男性同様仕事の帰りに一呼吸する場所
2,日本への来客、海外の人達が入りやすいお店に（口コミ）
3,老若男女、肩書き無し、同じ志しを持っている皆さんとコミニケーションが出来るお店に

お陰様で今日まで、指針通り結果を出し、１分も掛からない場所へ２号店（４年目）を出し、
素晴らしいお客様に支えられる今日
本当に有り難う御座います。
来年もまた楽しく、叱咤激励をしながら、スタッフ一同頑張ります。

As you know my Enoki located Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho.
The small alley with old building is becoming a brand gradually!

The impression of the yokocho that I saw for the first time.

Along the railroad and close to the station? Izakaya in red lantern?
I was not interested at all!
Suddenly, "Do you have intrest in opening a izakaya?", A voice caught.
I am not interested so much, but just by watching what kind of shops. . . That was the opportunity to visit the alley.

It was 3.4 minutes from Shibuya station, I went to the back street and I was surprised at a store of about 40 shops in Nagaya style.
The seats 7 to 8 seats in an L type counter. The distance between the kitchen and customer was very close.
Customer could see what kind of dish someone made.
I listened to detail and the contract that time.

At that time, I was doing work for clothes.
A couple of achievements at the company, so many suppliers offered me a job title.
However, I thought my job of clothing was over.
As a result of thinking for three months, I decided to challenge new work for eating and drinking I never had done.

From December 1985, I started to new job in Enoki!
I decided three guidelines for myself.

1, In the future I think many women into work like the men. Want to make places where they can breathe easily after work as well as the men.
2, Be friendly to foreign people coming to Japan.
3, No matter young and old, male and female, Having job title or not! Everyone enjoying drink communication.

Thanks to you, I was able to give results to these three policies until today.
In the 4th year, we opened a second Enoki shop to a location close by one minute.
I rearry happy to supported by wonderful customers.
Next year we will be happy together again.
Our staff will do our best as well as this year.

今年の６月あたり！　

社内で人脈が共有出来て入れば、仕事もスムーズに行き、能率アップ出来るはず〜〜　　　　　　
名刺管理サービス部長が、社長にむかって『それて早く言ってよの』
一コマのコマーシャル　　　　　　　

帰宅中10分足らずの、タクシーの中で思わず笑ってしまった。
1人うなずきながら”そうそう良くある話だわ
表情豊かな画面の俳優さん….始めて見る人
所が、お休みの夜中、何気なくテレビを見ていたら、タクシーの中で見た俳優さんの顔が画面に

タイトルは『孤独のグルメ』食堂での食べ物を、きれいに食べているシーン、
俳優さんの食べ方に感動とコマーシャルの顔が、すごく気に入り
早速俳優の名前を調べた所『松重豊,,,,フアンになりました。

テレビを見ない人が多くなる中、数分だが、意外とタクシーの中やバスでのコマシャルて
とても穴場ですね。

I laughed in a taxi and nodding, I thought "It's a very common story."
An actor with expressive screen ... Perhaps I saw him first time.

One day, I was casually watching TV at midnight on a holiday, the actor I saw in a commercial video of a taxi was on the screen.
The title of the drama is "Kodoku no Gourmet".
It was a scene he ate foods beautifully in the dining room. I touched by how the actor was eating beutiful and I also liked the his face of the ad the other day.
I looking for the name of the actor at once and found an actor named Mr Yutaka Matsushige.
I became a fan of him.

I know getting decrease people who watch TV.
However the advertisements in taxis and buses are few tens of seconds, but the eye easily catches it.
I think it's a surprisingly good way of advertisement.

2018年10月09日

９月も終わり、良い事、悪い事もあった月
33年お店をやって、渋谷の街が大きく変化して行く日々
オープン当時、海外の人を見ると珍しく、言葉がわからず
殆どのお店の店主は、外国人を見ると断わっていた。
最近は何処の店主も人慣れし、多くの海外の人々も周りの人達と気楽にお酒を飲み交わし
笑顔の会話がはずみ満足な微笑みをもって帰国して帰る毎日

所が、先月の終わり、毎日の事だが、帰る前のドアと店内を再点検し自宅に帰る日々が、
翌日2号店の買物の品物を持ってドアを開けた所、
グラスが５.6個、ウヰスキーが２本、中途半端な飲み越しのビールが２本置いてあり、
カウンターには申し訳ないか小銭を15枚くらい置いてあるのを発見！

早速、セコムのカメラで調べた所、夜中2時過ぎ、4人組の男女の外国人が、
ドアの暗唱番号の中の鍵を開けての侵入（この中に鍵を入れる事態、前々から気には
なっていた？）した事件が起きた。
大きな被害はなかったもの
遠い所から、日本に来て頂き少しでも”おもてなし”の気持ちが
一部の人間の悪さにチョツト残念

Time flies so fast, already September is over.
For me this September was good as well as bad.
I opened Izakaya for 33 years ago, and the streets of Shibuya are changing daily.
In long‐ago days, at the time of the opening of Enoki, it was very rare to see people from overseas.
Many people did not understand the language, so most Japanese owner declined a foreigner to enter to their restaurant.
Recently every restaurant owner got accustomed to foreigners, and many foreigner came to drink alcohol easily with the surrounding Japanese people.
They could have a nice chat, drinking and return to their own country with a smile.

However, an incident occurred at the end of last month.
Every day I check the keys of the door and the inside of the store before returning to my house.
On the next day, when I opened the door after grocery shopping, there were 5 or 6 glasses, 2 whiskey bottles and 2 beer bottles were left on the desk at Enoki 2nd store!
I didn't know whether they felt sorry, but they put about 15 coins at the counter too.
I notice Enoki intruded by someone!
Immediately I asked Secom to check security cameras.
2am over midnight, there were images of foreigners of 4 people men and women using keys in the box of the door's secret number.
(Putting the key here was on my mind from before but I didn't change it.)

Things that did not suffer major damage luckily.
I've been continued my restaurant that keeping the feeling of "Omotenashi" (Hospitality) and spending fun time even if the people from foreign country.
Of course I understand most people from different countries have nice personality but I disappointed to such as bad things happend by foreigner and felt sad that I have to suspect.

2018年09月14日

新宿から快速電車…..青梅行き又は奥多摩へ
車窓から見る景色、森林がどんどん増し、谷間の周りは、多くの住宅が見え隠れ
あっと云う間の１時間30分奥多摩駅に到着
駅から徒歩10分、橋の下を覗いて見ると、多くの釣り人が”ニジマス”を釣っていた。
その隣には賑やかに、バーベキューを楽しんでいる。
今回友人を通して、バーベキューをするので、参加しませんかの一声
初めて地元、県外の人達と交流を楽しんだ！
椅子に座る事１分、お肉、野菜、ニジマス、飲み物等が目の前に並び、
上げ膳据え膳の時間だった。
４時近く駅前の居酒屋（むらき）さんで、美味しい”馬刺し”を食べて
東京のお酒、澤乃井の日本酒をグイ…..と飲み帰宅へ

十数年前、奥多摩に来た時には、奥多摩湖から、天然記念日原鍾乳洞に行き、日原渓流
を見、近くには、氷川渓流遊歩道を歩き、橋の奥には深山に来たような渓谷が長く
続いている道を探求した事あり
　
混沌とした大都会から、とても近い場所、日帰り、それとも2.3日の宿泊の旅、良いかも

I headed for Okutama on the outskirts of Tokyo on a rapid train bound for Oume from Shinjuku.
The scenery from the train window was getting change from the city to many forest guradually, and seen many houses were hiding.
After 1 hour half, I arrived at Okutama Station.

A lot of people are fishing when looking under the bridge, 10 minutes walking from the station.
It seems that "Rainbow trout" could catch this river.
Beside some people enjoying a barbecue with their family and friends.

I was invited to a BBQ in Okutama through my friend that day.
Many people met for the first time, but it was a lot of fun.
When I sut on the chair, some people quickly brought meat and vegetables, freshly rainbow trout, drinks and so on.
I was thankful to care for me as a BBQ beginner.

After a fun BBQ at the river, around 4pm, we ate a delicious "horse sashimi" at the tavern "Muraki" in front of the station.
I drank some sake called "Sawanoi" is brewed in Tokyo.

When I came to Okutama more than ten years ago, I went from Okutama Lake to the limestone cave that is a natural monument and saw river stream.
In the vicinity, I walked the Hikawa Stream Promenade, and behind the bridge was a long valley like a mountain that came to a mountain.

Okutama is close place from a chaotic big city as I living Shibuya, but the atmosphere is completely different.
A day trip to Okutama, or a trip of accommodation for a few days, It may good.

今年の５月、アメリカ、ワシントンDCから新婚のご夫妻が来店。
『お店は知り合いの友人の紹介』
旦那様は香港生まれ！奥様はアジアが初めてと聞く、まずは日本の食べ物と,
文化が知りたく５日間、日本に滞在して、両親の住んでいる、香港へ行くと聞く！
初めは緊張していた御夫婦も周りの人達との会話が勢み、帰国後
実りのある楽しい時間だったとお礼のメールが頂いた。

所が７月の末、メキシコ人、ブラジル人の仲間３名と再び来店
なぜ各国の友人と一緒なの,,,,？と、聞いた所
『僕の仕事は日本料理店の調理場の厨房に立っている！
今回、日本料理に携わっている、各国の代表の選ばれた職人さん14名の1人として
来年の３月まで、京都の有名な料亭７.８件で修行の為来店
東京での開会式後、その中で親しくなった仲間と明日!
京都に行く前、是非とも、えのきに連れて来たいとの思いを…』

８ヶ月、彼らは厳しい訓練を受け、帰国後は一流のお店で
奮闘する姿、拝見したく

一言『京都無茶苦茶暑く、体を大事に….と伝えて別れたが、
　　　彼等から、帰国前もう一度、えのきに来店する約束をした』

In May of this year, the newlyweds couple from Washington DC in the USA came to Enoki.
A husband is an American born in Hong Kong and a wife is the first time in Asia not only Japan. Their friend introduced my restaurant.
She said they would go to Hong Kong to meet husband's parents lived in Hong Kong after staying in Japan for 5 days to know Japanese food and culture.
In the beginning, a couple looks nervous, but after had alcohol, they could talk with other customer and relaxed.
After left from Japan, they sent a mail of thank you to me.

At the end of July, a husband visited to Enoki again with Mexican guy and Brazilian guy.
I was wondering why is he with friends from different countries.
He said "My job is a chef of Japanese restaurant now! As one of the 14 chefs selected by the representatives of each country who are engaged in Japanese cuisine this time, it was decided to seven or eight famous traditional restaurant in Kyoto to go on training until next March. "
After the opening ceremony of training, He took to Enoki same situation 2 chefs from Mexico and Brazil.
Before going to Kyoto, by all means I was happy that he wanted me to take it to the Enoki.
They will have hard training for 8 months and will be working at a prestigious restaurant after returning each country.
I only advised to them, "Summer time of Kyoto is really hot and humit,so please take care of yourself."

And the other day the mail arrived from him.
"After our training has finished, I will come back to Enoki again before leave from Japan to returning home to each country."
I hope to see you them again.

雨期の季節、幾度なく大雨に見まわれ、空の色もグレー
心もグレー
だったら一瞬でも良いい透明の傘にアートの世界を作り、心豊かな自分に??
傘屋には、透明の傘がズラリ、1本500円、急な雨に人々は買いあさる…が
雨が上がると、ポィン捨て
だったら透明傘を面白く、ア~トの色に着せ替えしてみてワ~~
たとえば、水玉模様をモチーフにした芸術家「草間弥生」のカラフルな水玉や、
東京名物、「東京タワー、スカイツリー、レインボーブリッジ、漫画のキャラクター」
など、アートの傘を、世界でも有名な、渋谷駅前のスクランブル交差点でショウータイム、
もっといえば、3階当たりから見るアートのスクランブル、良いかも(^.^)
一瞬のアイデア

In the rainy season at Tokyo, heavy rain fell like every day.
My heart was dark and sad like gray sky.

So I thought to making a world of art by plastic umbrella and turning it into a pleasant feeling.
The umbrella shops and convenience stores sold so many transparent plastic umbrella.
Almost plastic umbrella is 500 yen only.
People will buy that umbrella if suddenly rains.
As the rain rises, many people disposal it without taking home.

I thought.
If you throw it away, I want to make umbrellas interesting and transform into art!
For example, Japanese artist "Yasuo Kusama's colorful polka dot pattern" ,
Tokyo's icon "Tokyo Tower, Sky Tree, Rainbow Bridge",
"Manga character" popular from overseas as well. . .
Show time at Shibuya scramble crossing famous in the world of art umbrella in front of Shibuya station!
To see scrambling art from the third floor or high building, I think it looks good (^. ^)
It was a momentary my idea.

阪神淡路大震災から20年目
阪神電車の石屋川駅からタクシーに乗り、震災の被害を受けた阪神高速３号線
の風景を見ながら、
『創業より十三代にわたり『福寿』の名を守り続け、手作りにこだわる酒蔵、酒心館へ足を運ぶ。
関内に入ってみると、ノーベル賞晩餐会（2012年）のテーブルに飾った（純米吟醸　福寿）がひときわ
目立った。
四季折々のお酒のセッテイングを楽しみ。地元の旬菜をはじめ自家製豆腐など蔵の料亭で食事を済ませた後

月の半分以上、住んでいるという友人のK氏の別荘地、六甲山へ車で行く、
途中、展覧台から阪神間、パノラマビューを見え、夜は100万ドルの夜景が見える場所に行った。
手軽なハイキングコースもあって、多くの登山者を見た。

１時間の予定で、山頂の回りを見て下山中、
K氏の会話から、”１週間の１日は下山して自宅に帰り、奥さんと、犬と再会してんね〜”
この間な〜ウチの奧さんに、山頂の自宅の前に、イノシシが出をよって、ビックリしたわ！！と言った所、
”あんた”その…イノシシ…、もしかして　”口紅をつけイノシシ” と違うの〜〜だって、イヤァ〜〜ウチの奧さん凄いわ！
皆で大笑い！

It has been 23 years since the Great Hanshin Awaji earthquake this year.
I saw the landscape of new Hanshin Express Highway No. 3 damaged by the earthquake while we taking a taxi from the Ishiyagawa station of the Hanshin Train.

My destination is a Jaapanese sake brewery called "Shushinkan".
It is a sake brewery that continues to make sake called "Fukuju" handmade over thirteen generations from the foundation.
When we entered into sake brewery, Junmai Ginjo Fukuju lined up in the table of the Nobel Prize dinner party was conspicuous in 2012.
While having the staff introduce the seasonal sake, we ate local delicious foods including homemade tofu and vegitables.

After having finished the meal, I went to Mr. K's villa ground, Rokko Mountain by car.
He lives near the summit of Mt. Rokko and he stayed there over half of a month.
The night view from the observation deck where we can go by car was very beautiful.
Rokko Mountain had a handy hiking course, and there were also many climbers.

Mr. K told me an interesting story while looking down the mountain top and descending.
"Usually I go down to the mountain on once a week and go home and meet my wife and our dog, but the other day when I talked that the wild boar came in front of my villa, my wife suspected boar as "the boar wearing lipstick" (=another woman)! I was so suprise!"
We laughed a lot with everyone.

金曜日(一般のサリマンの人々)1週間の疲れを、1人落ち着いた場所で
知らない人々と会話が出来る小さなお店に足を運ぶ。
店側では、今日はどのような方が、ご来店されるのか、気持ちが弾む。
5:30 ..海外の観光の人々が、顔を出し、6名ですが、入って良いですか？
一言「予約のお店です。申し訳ございません。」また若い女の子が、入るが
「予約」と断る。
なぜ?? 長年人を見る判断力と苦労してゼロから、お客様を作って来た。
時の流れと云うが …自身の評価も分からず、勝手にお店の評価の数字や、料理の良し悪
しを書き込むネット時代。
大衆酒場と違って、座る椅子も限られている。
だからこそ、同じ志しを持っている人々が集うお店にと思いながら、
席を開けている金曜日、そろそろ老若男女が来店する時間 !!

General company workers work from morning until late every day on weekdays and they are off on weekends.
When it comes to Friday, they go to a small restaurant where they can chill, talking with people who don't know in one calm place.
I really looking forward to thinking what kind of person is coming to my Enoki today.

5:30 pm
Some tourists who came from abroad, "there are six people, can we come in?"
I said "Tonight is reservation only. I'm sorry."
A young girl also tried to enter the store but refused by "reservation is full".

You might wonder why I declined.
I stood in a bar counter for years and wore judgment about seeing people by touching various people.
There ware various people 's support helps me as well as I learnt to make valued customers by struggling.

Nowadays even if someone doesn't know the evaluation of himself, it is a internet era to write scores on the restaurant without permission and write the good or bad of cooking.
Unlike a mass public izakaya, my small shop has limited seating chairs.
That is why I would like to be a restaurant where people with the same passion gather.
Friday I am opening the seat purposely.
it is about time for customers to visit me!

カラオケ、時には麻雀、洋服のセンスも中々の着こなし、スラリとした身長が目に引く
83歳のN氏
長い間 N氏の人格をカウンターの中から拝見させて頂いたが、中々の几帳面な方

"ママさ~ァ僕も今の仕事も今月で終り、これから残り少ない一日一日を楽しむよ~と
円満な笑顔の一言!!
言葉が終わると、仲間や回りの人々から「ご苦労さでしたでした」と、長い拍手をかわした。
その半年後、ある事件にまきこまれた。
代議士の金銭トラベル!! 以前N氏はその代議士の帳簿の管理をやっていた事から、
事情聴取されるは、毎日のように報道陣が自宅の前に押し寄せてくるは!も~~ぉ大変
ご近所の方々には大変ご迷惑をかけるし、どうする事も出来ず、
自宅を離れ、移動することを決めて数ヶ月、転々とホテル暮らしの生活だった。
.'...時間も立ち、落ち着いた為、久し振り、えのきに来店
時は過ぎ愉快に「ハハハ~~と笑い、ママさ~ァ長く生きていると、何もない人生なんて無いよ…
大好きな日本酒をゴクリ…と、素晴らしい笑顔が印象的な紳士!!

Mr. N, 83, is an attractive person.
He is tall and has a good fashion sense, good singer at karaoke, sometimes a fun person who also enjoys mahjong.
For a long time, I saw Mr. N's personality who came to my shop from the counter table.
I think he is a clever and friendly personality.
When he finish his previous job he said
"Hey Mama, my current work is over in this month, I will enjoy the rest of the day from now on!" with a word of full smile.
When words ended, applaused from his companies and other customer.

However, six months later, he was involved in a major incident called a monetary trouble of a parliamentarian.
Previously Mr. N have maneged account books of the parliamentarian.
A police was questioned to him and the reporters was coming in front of his house like everyday.
It seems to be a terrible riot.
He did not do bad things while he was workin for a parliamentarian, but it bothers the neighbors very much.
He dicided to leaving home and livied a few months moving around the hotel.

Then time passed the problem seems settle down, Mr. N came to the Enoki for the first time after the problem.
He laughing pleasantly and said,
"I have lived long time, there is no life without anything"
He was drinking his favorite Japanese sake.
A wonderful smile is an impressive gentleman !!
