The 100-Year-Old Gentleman"

He worked for decades as a salesman at one company.
He traveled all over Japan, meeting many people who became friends through work and in private life.

In his late 50s, he thought about his next step, whether to move on or stay a little longer.
Around that time, a client company asked him to join them.
He accepted, started as fresh and achieved great results.

About 10 years later, around the age of 70, he told the executive director that he was thinking of retiring.
The director, who asked him several times to stay on longer, sadly passed away before he could.
Finally, at the age of 80, he decided it was time to step away from work for good.
Since his office was near Shibuya, he still often visited Enoki.

He was born in 1925, he turned 100 on 28th October this year.
He lost his wife at 86 and was deeply saddened, but found comfort in his hobbies such as gardening, horse racing, and mahjong game.

Still his mind is sharp, his posture straight, his hearing clear.
His face has a healthy glow, his hair is still thick, and he enjoys sake and shochu with a good appetite.
He travels over an hour from his home in Kashiwa City, Chiba, once every 2 months to visit Enoki.
He enjoys nothing more than seeing familiar faces and having good conversations.
