4名の若者来客
のれんをくぐり、ドアを開け、「Hi」と、声をかける
一人の青年が、携帯を出し、写真を見てほしいと
手渡され見たところ、横丁の通りで女性と映っている、
青年が…僕のママ「東京に行った際、写真を見せて
お店に行きなさいと言われ、きました」
席を座って彼らの顔を見たところ、可愛い青年達、何歳..？と聞くと
20歳です。
どう見ても18歳くらいしか見えない（純朴なアメリカ人の学生さん）
初めての日本の旅、京都、大阪、沖縄に行き、最後の東京
大都会の建物見て、びっくりしたとか
全員緊張気味だったが、ビールを飲み、
つまみを食べる内、緊張がほぐれ、おしゃべりし始めた。（笑）
渋谷の街も初めて、チョットぶらぶら歩いて、
クラブにチャレンジするそうだと、去って行った。
最近、何年か前お店に訪れた方々が
再度（特にお母さん！息子とお父さんを引き連れて、円満な笑顔
で、ご来店くださる方が、多くみられる）が？面白い事に
よくもこんなにお喋りするお母さん…父、息子はひたすら黙って
お母さんの話をきいている姿、よく見かける……平和だ
4 young foreigners came to visit the restaurant.
They passed through the noren curtain, opened the door, and said, “Hi.”
One of the young men took out his phone and handed it to me, asking me to look at a photo.
It showed him standing with a woman on the street in Nonbei Yokocho.
He said, “My mother told me, ‘If you go to Tokyo, show them this photo and go to there.’ So we came to Enoki.”
I showed them to their seats and looked at their faces. They were all very young and adorable.
When I asked how old they were, they said they were 20 years old. But to me, they looked no older than 18—innocent American college students.
It was their first trip to Japan. They had already visited Kyoto, Osaka, and Okinawa, and Tokyo was their final destination.
They said they were amazed by the huge buildings in the big city.
At first, they all seemed a little nervous.
But after drinking beer and eating some snacks, they gradually relaxed and started chatting and laughing.
It was also their first time in Shibuya.
They said they were going to walk around for a while and then challenge themselves by going to nightclub, and they left full of excitement.
Recently, many people who visited the restaurant several years ago have been coming back again.
Especially mothers!
They often return with their sons and husbands, all wearing happy smiles.
Significantly, with these cheerful, talkative mothers, the fathers and sons usually stay quiet, simply listening to what the mother has to say.
It is a peaceful scene that I often see, and one that seems to be universal, no matter the country.
