夏の甲子園 | Summer Koshien （National High School Baseball Championship）

沖縄商学の優勝で幕を閉じた、第107回全国高校野球選手権大会。テレビなどで母校や出身地の学校を応援していた方も多いのでは？暑さ対策で、試合の2部制も本格的に導入されましたが、熱中症の症状が出ていた選手もいました。
沖縄県勢初の甲子園優勝で多くの感動が有りました。一方で、広島県代表の広陵高校が1回戦を勝ち上がりましたが、不祥事で2回戦を辞退しました。
甲子園は全国からの注目も高いので、今後はよりスポーツマンシップにのっとり、そして選手が健康にプレーできるようにして欲しいです。
The 107th Koshien （National High School Baseball Championship）ended with Okinawa Shogaku winning the title.
Many people watched on TV and cheered for their alma mater or local schools.
To deal with Japanese summer heat, the tournament introduced a two-part game schedule, but some players still showed signs of heatstroke.
It was the first ever Koshien victory for a team from Okinawa, which moved many fans.
On the other hand, Hiroshima’s Koryo High School won their first-round game but withdrew from the second round due to a scandal.
Since Koshien attracts so much national attention, we hope it will continue with true sportsmanship, and with better care for players’ health.
